Background on the CTSU and this Open Day

The chief aims of the Clinical Trial Service Unit & Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU) are to generate, and to disseminate, reliable evidence about widely practicable methods of prevention and treatment of vascular, neoplastic and other chronic diseases, which account in many populations for most of the premature mortality, for much of the disability, and for much of the medical impairment of the quality of life.

During this open day, a number of CTSU staff will give short talks describing some of the studies that are currently in progress at CTSU.
